Varta 100 Ah Battery Fails After Eight Months on Mitsubishi Fuso Vehicle
In January 2026, I purchased a Varta 100 Ah battery for 5,000 TRY for my 2011 Mitsubishi Fuso 859g from Emir Akü in Bağcılar Mahmutbey, Istanbul. After approximately eight months of standard operation, the battery suffered a complete failure and ceased functioning.
I returned the unit to Emir Akü for warranty evaluation. The claim was subsequently rejected under the assertion that the negative terminal post exhibited deformation. I strongly contest this rejection: the battery was installed properly, operated under normal conditions, and subjected to no external force or misuse. Using minor terminal post wear as a pretext to deny coverage for an eight-month-old battery failure is an unacceptable evasion of warranty obligations—especially given that the replacement cost has now escalated to 6,800 TRY.
I am currently forced to operate my vehicle using a temporary loaner battery while my purchased unit remains at the dealership. I demand that Varta corporate technical services re-evaluate this claim, reverse the rejection, and provide a brand-new 100 Ah replacement battery under warranty to resolve this hardship.
