I am writing regarding my rental from Enterprise Sabiha Gökçen Airport office, reservation number 798329873885, rented between November 22-24, 2024. While driving within the highway speed limits, I lost control due to severe weather conditions and hit the median, causing a single-vehicle accident with material damage.
The police arrived, filed a report, and confirmed that I had no alcohol or any other violations. The report assigned me 25% fault due to weather conditions, yet Enterprise refused to cover the damage through insurance and instead initiated legal proceedings against me to recover the costs.
This is completely unacceptable. As a long-time car renter, I have never encountered such an issue. Even with minor incidents at other rental companies like Avis, they handled things professionally and fairly. Enterprise, however, seems to apply its own arbitrary rules and refuses to honor basic rental insurance policies.
I will challenge this decision through every available legal channel. This is a clear case of a rental company unfairly shifting costs onto customers instead of honoring their own insurance terms. I urge Enterprise to resolve this fairly and cover the damage as per the insurance agreement. If this is not addressed, I will continue to escalate my complaint and warn others against renting from Enterprise.
