EE Charged Me £400 For Data Despite My Unlimited Plan and Delayed My Refund
Last month, I discovered an unannounced £400 charge on my EE statement for data consumption that ought to have been covered by my unlimited plan. Since this was obviously a billing error, I immediately called customer service anticipating a fast fix. Following many annoying calls, I was informed it was due to a system update impacting multiple clients. Although they admitted the mistake, handling the refund has been a disaster. Weeks have gone by and I have not gotten anything despite several assurances. Lack of urgency and bad communication have made me wonder about EE's dependability. What good is loyalty if billing mistakes can occur thus readily and refunds take time? EE has to correct its system and raise its customer service standards.
