I Regret Buying the Ecovacs Deebot N8—Map Selection and Navigation Are Broken
We bought the Ecovacs Deebot N8 robot vacuum from MediaMarkt, and for the first year, it worked perfectly. But now, it’s become a complete frustration. Despite selecting specific rooms or zones from the saved map in the app, the vacuum completely ignores my selections and instead starts its own full-cleaning cycle, displaying “a new mapping cycle has started” every time. It no longer recognizes or returns to the charging station, which makes it even more useless.
To fix this, I tried creating a new map, reinstalling the app, and resetting the device—nothing worked. I even selected Turkish as the app language, but it keeps switching back or ignoring the setting.
Originally, I planned to purchase from a well-known brand, but a MediaMarkt employee strongly recommended this model. I regret listening. I feel deeply disappointed in the performance and app functionality of this device.
