I Can’t Get a Refund on My eBay Return Due to Customs Delay and Lack of Support

I bought an item from eBay, but unfortunately, it got stuck in customs. Because I work full-time, I couldn’t go to the customs office in person to collect it. As a result, the item was returned. I tried to re-ship it using the return label eBay provided, but I couldn't because the item was already on its way back.
Now I’m stuck in limbo. The return process is underway, but I can’t get my refund. I contacted the seller, and all they do is tell me to speak with eBay. I emailed eBay for help and received an auto-response saying they’d get back to me within 24–48 hours. It’s been over 96 hours—and I’ve heard nothing.
To make things worse, today is the final day to complete the return process, and I’m still locked out of my refund. This is incredibly frustrating. I did everything right, and now I’m being penalized for something beyond my control.
