I purchased a Dyson V12 vacuum expecting long-term quality, but right from the start, I noticed that the silicone seals on the sides of the body were coming loose. At first, I tried to overlook it, but now it’s clear that the vacuum is also leaking air, which directly affects its performance.
During a video call with Dyson support, they had me perform a tissue test over the suspected leak area. The tissue stuck immediately, clearly showing that air was escaping. Based on this, they told me that the cyclone unit would be repaired. But this is not acceptable.
I bought this vacuum brand new. It’s only been lightly used and has already had multiple problems. I don’t want a patched-up product—I want a replacement, not a repair.
Dyson informed me they would collect the device on Saturday for servicing, but unless it’s being replaced entirely, I don’t want it picked up. This is not user damage—it’s a manufacturing defect that appeared from day one.
I paid a premium—₺—for this product and expected a premium experience. Dyson, take responsibility and replace my faulty vacuum with a new one. A customer shouldn’t have to settle for repairs on a defective product straight out of the box.
