I’m Losing Suction Power on My Dyson Gen5 Due to Air Leaks But Support Denies the Issue

I own a Dyson Gen5 vacuum cleaner that’s still under warranty, yet it’s already showing serious performance issues. Specifically, there are visible air leaks around the silicone body seals, which are clearly causing a drop in suction power. Despite this, Dyson refuses to acknowledge the problem or offer a real solution.

Their approach to support is both ineffective and dismissive. They rely on a video call system where the representative told me to hold a tissue over the area. When the tissue stuck due to the air leak—which should clearly indicate suction loss—she still insisted there was “no issue” with the device. She claimed everything was working normally, even though the test she asked for proved the opposite.

It’s clear this product has a chronic design flaw, and what’s worse is the lack of proper after-sales service. Dyson appears to be avoiding its warranty responsibilities, leaving customers like me frustrated and unsupported after spending a considerable amount—₺—on a so-called premium product.

I’ve now been forced to pursue legal action through the Consumer Court, because Dyson won’t take accountability on their own.
