I own the Dyson Gen5 Detect, and recently the round components next to the carpet head broke off by themselves—no impact, no misuse. The product is still fairly new, and I expected much more from a premium brand like Dyson. The real frustration began when I tried to contact customer service for help. I called multiple times, and every single time, the agent would say, “I can’t hear you,” and then abruptly hang up. This happened three times in a row—absolutely unacceptable.
I’m extremely disappointed. I trusted Dyson’s reputation for quality and service, yet here I am with a damaged product and zero assistance. I’m left chasing down support that refuses to engage or resolve anything. It’s incredibly frustrating to invest this much only to be ignored when something goes wrong.
