On October 27, I purchased a Dyson V10 Absolute vacuum cleaner through Trendyol. I chose this product specifically because its durability and quality were strongly emphasized in advertisements.
However, two days ago, despite using the vacuum very carefully and gently, the brush head broke. Following this, I visited an authorized service center in Diyarbakır. Instead of assisting me, they told me to contact customer service.
When I contacted Dyson customer service, I was told that the broken brush head is not covered under warranty and that they could not assist me. They also stated that I would need to pay approximately $140 to purchase a replacement head.
The fact that a single part of a vacuum cleaner is sold at such a high price and breaks so easily raises serious concerns about both product quality and pricing policy. Dyson markets its products as highly durable and long-lasting, almost unbreakable. However, in real use, encountering such a fragile plastic component that breaks easily—and is extremely expensive to replace—is very disappointing.
If this part is so delicate, why is it made from such material, and why is it sold at such a high price? I expect your brand to stand behind its product, take responsibility for this issue, and either cover the broken part under warranty or offer a reasonable solution.
If necessary, I will file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee and pursue my rights through legal channels. Even if it requires significant effort or cost, I am determined to obtain what I am entitled to.
