Dyson burned my hair!
I purchased my Dyson Airwrap from MediaMarkt on October 5, and the curling barrels heat up far more than they should. Since the day I bought it, I mostly used the smoothing/drying attachment, but when I used the curling barrels for the second time, the overheating problem continued—and it burned my hair. Experiencing this kind of issue with a brand-new, under-warranty product was shocking to me.
After this happened, I tried reaching Dyson customer service, but getting connected took hours. MediaMarkt said they were only an intermediary and offered no help. I still have the box, receipt, and warranty documents, and my purchase date is October 5! The device is practically brand new—are we paying this much money just to burn our hair?
I don’t want to keep dealing with a defective part. It is unacceptable for a brand-new product to be released without proper testing. I am requesting a full refund for my device.
