Due to a stock shortage, Dyson canceled my V12 Detect Slim cordless vacuum cleaner

On December 23, 2022, I placed an order for a Dyson V12 Detect Slim cordless vacuum cleaner on the company's website. Despite the fact that an order number was generated and payment was taken from my credit card, I was not provided with any details about the purchase. After waiting three days, a representative from Dyson's customer service reached out to me via WhatsApp. A shipment of the device, I was told, will take place as soon as possible. As of today, however, I've received a new SMS from Dyson stating that the order had been canceled due to concerns over transaction security. I contacted customer support, but they were unable to offer a satisfactory explanation for this problem. I think Dyson is covering up the real reason for these cancellations, which is that they sold more than they had on hand and had to cancel some orders to stabilize the crisis.
