Domestika Charged Me ₺4,124 for an Unwanted Plus Membership After a ₺29 Course
On March 19, 2025, I purchased a course from Domestika for ₺29. Without realizing it, I was also enrolled in a trial period for their Plus membership. I only found out about this when I noticed a charge of ₺4,124.50 on my Yapı Kredi credit card on April 19, 2025. I had no intention of subscribing to an annual membership, and I certainly never authorized this charge.
Worse yet, I hadn't even completed the course I initially paid for, yet Domestika decided to enroll me into a full-year subscription I didn’t want. When I attempted to request a refund on April 21, 2025, all efforts failed. The platform only allows refunds in three Latin American countries—no option for the rest of us. There’s no valid email to contact, and their system is deliberately set up to deny refunds, offering what feels like a rigid, one-sided ultimatum.
