I purchased the De'Longhi Evo ECAM 81 on March 13 and was initially excited to use it. But just one day later, on March 14, I attempted the first descaling process—and that’s when everything went downhill. Since completing the descaling cycle, the machine simply refuses to work.
At first, the error light kept flashing, so I performed a reset, which temporarily removed that warning. But now, the descaling indicator stays on no matter what I do. I’ve replaced the water four times, carefully followed the instructions, powered the machine on and off, reset it multiple times—and yet, it remains stuck in the same state.
This machine is barely out of the box, and I’m already spending hours troubleshooting instead of enjoying coffee. It’s unacceptable for a brand-new product to fail immediately after a standard maintenance process.
