2021 Dacia Duster Engine / Transmission Sound Problem
In April 2021, I purchased a brand-new car from the dealership. It had absolutely no mileage on it. However, after only a month, while driving at a speed of 90-100 km/h in 6th gear, I became aware of a humming sound emanating from the engine. I went to the authorized Ermat Service Center in Izmir, where they requested that I go on a test drive with a skilled technician. During the drive, the technician used his phone to record the noise that was causing concern. They promised me there would be further communication. After 2 months, I reached out to the service center and they informed me that they were still waiting for information from headquarters. They assured me that they would contact me as soon as they had an update. Yet another month went by, and when I asked about it, they mentioned that they were anticipating software updates that were supposed to arrive by the end of the year. As expected, when I made another call, I was informed that the software would be delayed until after May 2022. Feeling a bit frustrated, I contacted "Renault Turkey" in June or July 2022. Although they recognized the problem, they stated that the software update would be postponed until the end of the year. In 2023, I reached out to "Renault France" via email, but unfortunately did not receive a response. Nevertheless, when I received a phone call from Turkey, they provided reassurance that my case was still under observation. Jump ahead to 2024, and there's still no update. The lack of focus on customer satisfaction is evident, which negatively impacts the brand's reputation.
