Coursera Certificate Fees Not Disclosed for Free Course

January 20, 2024 9:33 PM22

I enrolled in a course on Coursera that was advertised as free. After completing the test, I learned that receiving a certificate requires payment. However, no information about the certificate cost or payment process was provided during enrollment or throughout the course.

Upon further investigation, I found that while the course itself is accessible for free, the certificate is not. Despite this, there is no clear disclosure about the fee on the course’s webpage. I couldn't find any explanation about how to pay or how much it would cost.

I feel misled by the lack of transparency regarding the certificate fees. I need clarity on the exact cost and payment process for obtaining the certificate. Coursera should provide upfront information about all associated costs to prevent users from feeling deceived. Please address this issue promptly and improve your communication.
