Corendon Airlines Charged €80 for Name Issue Due to Staff Misconduct on Antalya-Dresden Flight

On September 5, 2024, during check-in for Corendon Airlines flight XC4271 from Antalya to Dresden, I was charged €80 because my son’s name was spelled with an “i” instead of “ı,” supposedly due to the absence of the character “ı” in German, which is unreasonable since he is a German citizen. Despite no issues on the outbound flight, the staff member made this an issue solely for personal gain on the return. When we expressed our intention to take the staff member’s photo for a complaint, we were threatened with being denied boarding. Moreover, when informed that my spouse could not join the flight due to her recent passing, not even a simple condolence was offered, which was deeply insensitive and unprofessional. The staff member was seen pocketing the €80, which reflects poorly on the company, especially during such a difficult time for us. I urgently request an investigation into this incident and appropriate action against the responsible individual.
