A Metal Ball Came Out of My Clinique Sunscreen

I’ve been using Clinique sunscreen for years and have always trusted the brand—until now. This time, after finishing the product, I noticed a strange clinking sound coming from the tube. Curious, I cut it open and was shocked to find a metal ball inside.
This is the first time I’ve ever encountered something like this in a skincare product, let alone from a premium brand like Clinique. Concerned, I contacted customer service for an explanation. Instead of addressing the issue directly, they told me they had no information about it and simply advised me to ask at retail stores.
This response was completely inadequate. I expected transparency and support, not a brush-off. I want to know:
Why was there a metal ball inside a sunscreen tube?
Is this part of the formula or packaging process?
Why does customer service have no knowledge or accountability for such an unusual finding?
I’m requesting a clear explanation and an official response from Clinique, as well as reassurance that this product is safe to use. As a long-time customer, I’m extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled. This experience has made me question the quality control I once trusted.
