I turned to ChatGPT for help while working on a small test game, expecting reliable support in generating game sprites. What I got instead was endless frustration. On the first day, I waited 3–4 hours for a response—only to get message restrictions. I couldn’t even continue the conversation. This went on for two to three more days, and eventually, I gave up trying.
When it finally did respond, all I got was a useless sentence: “The first step is the character faces forward.” That’s it. After all that time, that was the grand result. Are you serious? I waited for days just to receive that nonsense?
Every time I try to get help, my messages are limited. It constantly says “One moment, one moment”—you’re an AI, what do you need time for? And even if you take time, at least give a proper output. But no. The same cycle repeats.
One time, I even waited two full days thinking something useful might come out of it. I came back, waited another hour—only to be told it couldn’t do it.
OpenAI, you need to fix this. If ChatGPT isn’t capable of helping with basic sprite creation tasks, just be upfront about it. Stop wasting people’s time. I’ve spent days and gotten nothing but delays and vague responses. Either improve the system or stop advertising features that don’t work.
