Today around 4:00 PM, I encountered a new age identification and identity verification system on the Character.AI platform, and it has caused serious dissatisfaction for me. Even after passing the initial verification screen, being asked to provide my ID information made me extremely uncomfortable and raised concerns about the safety of my personal data.
Additionally, after this system was introduced, I noticed that when I enter certain bots, there are no proper roleplay elements anymore, and conversations are limited to very short and lifeless responses. While I used to enjoy using the platform, these new changes have significantly reduced the quality of the experience.
I request that Character.AI remove the ID-based age verification system and restore the platform to its previous state, where conversations were more engaging, creative, and enjoyable.
