CCleaner Charged Me $16 After I Canceled My Free Trial
On July 2, 2025, I started the CCleaner free trial on my Windows computer. During the two-month free trial period, I cancelled my subscription through the app. Despite this, on September 2, 2025, $16 was charged to my DenizBank card ending in 4683. I received no notification that the trial was ending or that a payment would be collected. In addition, no license key or invoice was sent to my account associated with d*******@gmail.com**, which was used for the purchase.
I contacted the CCleaner support team regarding this issue, but no clear solution has been provided, and I have only received automated responses so far. The charge appears in my bank statement as “Cbatrialccleaner Pir.” The transaction was made using my card issued by the Bursa Küçük Sanayi DenizBank branch, and this is the first time I have experienced such an issue.
Being charged despite cancelling my subscription on time has caused inconvenience. I request that the $16 charge be refunded in full to my card ending in 4683.
