Carrefour Canceled My Order Without Notice Despite Showing Products in Stock
I placed an order from Carrefour by selecting products listed as in stock. The next evening, while checking my emails close to the delivery time by chance, I saw an email stating that my order had been canceled. If Carrefour cannot build a website or app capable of reserving items for customers who place orders first and removing them from the listing once sold out, why engage in such a business that causes inconvenience to people? We spent 40 minutes placing an order, expecting guests, only to find out the next day by chance that the order wouldn’t be delivered. Is this your understanding of business ethics? If I were in your place, I would have compensated for the mistake because this is a matter of fairness. Every staff member working to support their families would be affected by such issues. This is truly unacceptable. It seems we can’t trust you anymore. At the very least, your staff could have called and informed us, saying, “We took on more than we could handle, please make alternative arrangements.” You clearly need administrative staff capable of managing these operations properly. How can we trust you now? I’ve attached screenshots of your surprises. If the demand is overwhelming, suspend the online store to prevent further inconvenience.
The customer representative called and stated that even if I place the order again today, it cannot be delivered on time.
Do you think this campaign would fall under the category of misleading advertising or not? How many months does your resolution process take?
They did not make any compensation and closed the matter quietly by acting brazenly
