CapCut Charged My Mobile Bill Without Clear Subscription Consent
I previously made a paid video editing purchase through the CapCut application and believed it was a one-time transaction costing approximately $6. At no point did I realize that the purchase would convert into an ongoing subscription. I am not currently using the application and was unaware that any recurring billing arrangement was active on my account.
Today, I discovered that approximately $6 had been charged through my Türk Telekom mobile line. The line is registered under my father's name, and the charge was processed without the account holder's knowledge or explicit approval. We were surprised to see this amount deducted, especially since the service is no longer being used and the subscription status was not clearly understood.
As soon as I realized that I had apparently been enrolled in a subscription, I immediately canceled it. However, I believe it is unfair for a recurring charge to be applied for a service that I do not actively use and that neither I nor the line owner knowingly intended to maintain.
Because the charge was unexpected and related to a subscription that I mistakenly believed was a one-time purchase, we have been placed in an inconvenient and frustrating situation. The fact that the billing occurred through a mobile line registered to another person without clear awareness of the ongoing subscription makes the issue even more concerning.
I request a full refund of the approximately $6 charged in connection with this unwanted CapCut subscription. I also request that any recurring billing associated with my account or mobile line be permanently canceled and that no future charges be processed without clear authorization and confirmation.
In addition, I would appreciate written confirmation that the subscription has been terminated and that no further payments will be collected through our mobile account.
