On December 27, 2024, I purchased a brand-new 2024 BYD Seal AWD from Ankara Efe BYD dealership. However, after reaching 130 km/h, the ESP system kept activating, preventing the car from driving properly. I took it to the service center, where they claimed to have updated the software and returned the car to me.
When I tested it, I noticed that the power output was reduced to 260 kW, even though the car’s original specification is 390 kW. They limited the power without informing me! I took the car back to the service center, and after two days in service, they admitted they couldn’t fix it. They also refused to restore the car to its original state, saying that a team from the Netherlands would need to inspect it—but they gave me no timeline for when this would happen.
I contacted BYD Turkey twice, but nobody responded to my complaints. Meanwhile, I am paying ₺53,000 in taxes for a 390 kW car, yet I only have 260 kW of usable power. I demand an immediate resolution, whether through a replacement vehicle or a full refund with interest. If this issue is not resolved, I will take legal action against BYD Turkey for selling a defective product. Fix this now!
