Unauthorized Busuu Charge After Trying to Sign Up for Another App
On October 30, 2025, at 5:09 p.m., while attempting to sign up for a mobile application, I received a message stating that a Busuu subscription had been started without my knowledge or consent. The message said that a $7 fee would be added to my phone bill and that the subscription would renew monthly unless canceled.
As soon as I noticed, I canceled the subscription within two or three minutes. However, I still received a notification stating that the subscription would remain active for one month, despite canceling it immediately.
I tried to contact Busuu customer service by calling 502553699, but I was only met with an automated system that required a code I never received, meaning I couldn’t reach a real representative.
I request that this subscription be completely canceled, that no charges be applied to my account, and that the $7 already charged be refunded. I believe this application uses misleading tactics that cause consumers financial harm, and I have been negatively affected by this situation.

I also urge the responsible parties to take immediate action to prevent such deceptive subscription practices from occurring again and to ensure that my complaint is resolved promptly.
