I Face Unauthorized Credit Card Charge at Oslo K7 Hostel Through Booking.com
On July 30, I experienced a serious issue with my reservation at Oslo K7 Hostel booked through Booking.com. My booking was made with a free cancellation option and was still active when I discovered that the hostel had charged $255.47 to my credit card on July 27 without my consent, using my stored card details. Shortly after, I received messages stating that my reservation would be canceled. When I contacted the hostel, they claimed this was “normal,” but their explanation made no sense to me.
As a result, my booking was processed directly by the hostel rather than through Booking.com, meaning I lost the benefits and protections the platform provides. I called Booking.com customer service and also sent messages through their platform, but I received no real assistance. My reservation number is 4304921432.
This is the first time I have encountered such an issue, and it remains unresolved. I demand that my canceled reservation be reinstated immediately and that my financial loss and inconvenience be fully addressed.
