I made a reservation through Booking.com for City Loft 3 Stamatina’s Luxury Apartments located in Alexandroupoli (Dedeağaç), Greece. While making the reservation, the screen clearly stated that I could cancel for free until January 2, 2026. Relying on this information, I canceled my reservation on January 2, 2026.
I had paid a total of €77, but after the cancellation, only €2 was refunded to my account. When the remaining amount was not refunded, I contacted Booking.com customer service. I was told that I could only cancel until January 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM. However, at the time of purchase, the system clearly showed that the reservation was cancellable until January 2, 2026. In other words, the cancellation date displayed by Booking.com conflicts with the date later given to me.
I made this reservation in reliance on the “free cancellation until January 2, 2026” notice shown on Booking.com, and I canceled it on that exact date. Therefore, I am requesting that the full €77 amount I paid—including the €2 already refunded—be returned to me in full, without any deductions.
