Booking.com Canceled My Confirmed Rome Reservation Due to Renovations
I made a reservation through Booking.com for a property in Rome, Italy called San Lorenzo Flat 2, and my reservation was confirmed by the system. However, shortly afterward, the reservation was canceled on the grounds that the property was undergoing renovations. After this cancellation, Booking only responded with a simple “Sorry,” and did not offer any other solution.
As a customer who has been booking regularly through Booking.com for a long time, I did not find this approach acceptable and I feel unfairly treated. Even though no payment was taken, having a confirmed reservation canceled afterward in this way disrupted my plans and seriously undermined my trust in the brand.
Because I am a loyal customer, I am requesting an appropriate discount coupon or similar goodwill gesture to make up for the inconvenience I experienced, and I also ask that Booking.com implement more careful checks so situations like this do not happen again.
