Bobbi Brown Foundation Breaks After Store Hands Customer Open Packaging

Bobbi Brown Foundation Breaks After Store Hands Customer Open Packaging

On July 16, around 4:30 PM, I purchased a Bobbi Brown foundation from The Cosmetic Company Store at Venezia in Gaziosmanpaşa. The product was handed to me with its box already open, so I placed it in my shopping bag and left. Shortly after leaving the store, I went to check the item, but because the box was open, the foundation slipped out, fell to the ground, and broke.

Because it was in a glass bottle, it completely shattered and became filled with glass shards, making it unsafe and impossible to salvage. I immediately returned to the store, explained what happened, and asked for an empty container just to transfer what I could, but they refused to give me even that. When I pointed out that the open box caused the fall, an employee dismissively replied, "Those break anyway." The store took no responsibility for handing over an open box and offered no resolution.

No one finds money lying on the ground; if a product is sold in this condition and shatters less than 10 minutes later, I expect the store to take responsibility and offer a refund or exchange. I still have my receipt. I demand that my grievance resulting from the open packaging be resolved with either a full refund or a replacement product.
