I purchased my BMW 525d xDrive from BMW Teknik Oto Bursa / TURKEY dealership on June 25, 2016. As of the date of this complaint, April 16, 2026, there are still 2 months left until the 10‑year after‑sales warranty of my vehicle expires. My vehicle’s chassis number is G673761. For a long time, I have been experiencing two problems that significantly affect my driving comfort and satisfaction. The soft coating on the front door handles has been worn away for about 5–6 years, has become sticky to the touch, and the black part underneath is clearly visible. This situation both reduces the comfort of using the car and negatively affects me every time I get in the vehicle. It is also disturbing that this soft coating problem on the door handles is a chronic and widely known issue in these models. My second problem concerns the front left window opening/closing button. Although I apply only slight force when lifting the window, the tabs of the button broke. I believe this damage is caused by the poor quality or brittleness of the material used in this part. Both of these issues emerged after the standard warranty period of my vehicle had already expired and therefore could not be resolved under the normal warranty. I have not previously contacted BMW Turkey or the Bursa Teknik Oto Nilüfer branch about these problems, nor have I had any paid repairs or part replacements related to the door handle coating or the window button. I kindly request that the front right and left door handles and the front left window lift button be replaced free of charge by the Bursa Teknik Oto Nilüfer branch within the scope of BMW Turkey’s after‑sales warranty and customer satisfaction practices. I expect this known chronic coating problem and the material‑related malfunction of the button to be resolved as a gesture of goodwill before the 10‑year warranty period ends.
