Disappointing BMW Prime Service Experience


About a month ago, the turbo of my BMW 3 Series with license plate number 34 ANA 942 malfunctioned. However, the turbo had already been replaced in October 2023 at the Samandıra authorized service center. Since the failure occurred before two years had passed, I contacted Borusan and was informed that the part was still under warranty and that, if I delivered my car to an authorized service center, the turbo would be replaced after the necessary procedures. Following this, at the beginning of September, I had my car delivered by tow truck to Borusan’s authorized service center in Mersin. Currently, I am working in Ankara and, due to not having my car, I am facing financial and emotional difficulties. I have repeatedly requested a replacement vehicle through Borusan’s Customer Communication Center, but my request has not been met. I believe Borusan discriminates between vehicle models. While my request for my 2018 model car was ignored, I strongly believe that if the same situation had happened with a 2025 BMW 7 Series, I would not have been left without a car for a month. This shows a clear double standard. I have always had all maintenance for my vehicle carried out at authorized service centers. Although many customers turn to private services after the warranty expires due to costs, I trusted BMW’s reputation and prestige and continued to use Borusan. Unfortunately, when I asked for support for the first time, this trust was not honored. I would like to emphasize that Mr. B***, who has been handling my case at the service center, has been attentive and helpful. The problem lies with the management and customer relations unit, which has failed to provide support. If I had chosen to pay for the repair myself, the process would have been completed in two days; instead, I have now been waiting for two months. This situation is unacceptable. Due to this negative experience, I regret to state that I will no longer consider purchasing any brand serviced by Borusan.
