Birkenstock Barbados Eva Sandals Cause Severe Foot Wounds and Side Cracks

On July 10, 2026, I purchased a pair of size 43 Barbados Eva sandals from the Birkenstock Viaport Pendik store. I used the product for a total of three days starting on July 15, 2026. Although it is generally a quality product, because the upper strap is extremely stiff, it caused severe wounds on the top of both of my feet.

For this reason, I returned to the store where I purchased the item on July 20, 2026, and handed over the sandals to request an exchange for one size larger. Store staff informed me that there were some cracks and hairline scratches on the outer side of the sandals, and therefore they could not process an exchange or a refund. I find it unacceptable that a product that developed side cracks after only three days of use is treated this way, and that my exchange request was rejected despite the sandals severely injuring my feet. After protesting for some time and explaining how unfair the situation was, they agreed to send the product in for formal inspection.

I am not asking for a full refund; I simply demand an exchange for one size larger for this product, which both injured my feet and developed side cracks in such a short period. I request that the necessary inspection regarding my purchase (receipt number 1-r-7-1341986) from the Viaport Pendik store be conducted promptly in favor of the customer, and that my grievance be fully resolved.
