Binance Futures Liquidated $7,000 Despite Low 5x Leverage

On October 11, 2025, I opened futures positions on Binance in the 1000PEPEUSDT, BASUSDT, and PENGUUSDT pairs using a relatively low leverage of 5x. I initially added margin at a 1:1 ratio, and when the price continued to fall, I added another position from a lower level—approximately three times the size of my original position—in order to reduce my average cost. Despite this, all three of my open positions were liquidated within seconds, and approximately $7,000, representing nearly 90% of my total balance, was wiped out.

After this liquidation, I saw an announcement the next day stating that USDC would be distributed to users who suffered losses during the market drop. However, the eligibility criteria were based on the date the position was opened, which I find completely unreasonable. In my case, what truly matters is the date the position was liquidated, meaning when the actual loss occurred—not when the trade was first opened. While I was managing my positions normally, I lost almost my entire balance due to system-driven rules determined solely by Binance.

When I contacted Binance Support about this issue, I was told that I was not eligible for the USDC compensation because the opening date of my trades did not meet their criteria. Trusting such a large and well-known platform, only to have losses interpreted entirely against the user and to be excluded from compensation, strikes me as deeply unfair.

My request from Binance is to be included in the USDC compensation program and to have my total loss of approximately $4,701 compensated under this program. I ask that this unfair liquidation and the arbitrary criteria applied afterward be reconsidered, and that my grievance be properly addressed.
