Best Buy Failed to Honor Next-Day Delivery Leaving Me Stuck with Inflexible Service

One of the most irritating encounters I have had is the Best Buy service. I purchased a new TV especially for their stated "next-day delivery." Since I had a limited window to have it put before a large family get-together, I designed my whole calendar around this. Their unclear statement regarding a twelve-hour delivery window the day before delivery left no room for change. Having a crucial meeting in the morning, I kept phoning wondering whether they could deliver in the afternoon. They scheduled my delivery time exactly during my unavailability, despite promises. They refused to change the delivery slot or provide any reasonable alternative after hours on the phone with management among other representatives. I was somewhat let down by this lack of client support and rigidity.
