BEIN Sports Misled Me About Premier League Access and Wants to Charge Me

On 26.04.2025, I was contacted by BEIN Sports customer service team regarding a campaign offering access to Turkish Süper Lig and English Premier League matches. During the phone call, I clearly informed the representative that I do not have a television or internet service. Despite this, I was assured that I could still subscribe to the service and enjoy the broadcasts under the campaign. Subsequently, a technician visited my address but only dropped off the decoder device without completing any installation. After they left, I discovered that I could only watch the matches of a single team and not all the matches as initially promised. I attempted to reach customer service several times and, after considerable effort, finally managed to speak to a representative. However, despite not having used the device or accessed any service (apart from briefly entering and exiting the application without viewing any content), and despite it being less than 24 hours since the delivery, I was informed that a fee of approximately ₺700 would be charged as a setup or cancellation fee. I would like to emphasize that I have not benefited from the service in any way and that this situation arose due to incomplete and misleading information provided by your representatives. In accordance with the Law on the Protection of Consumers No. 6502, I kindly request: That no charges be applied to my account, and That my subscription be canceled without any penalties or additional fees. If this matter is not resolved, I reserve the right to escalate my complaint to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and other relevant legal authorities. I kindly request your urgent attention to this matter.
