Bauhaus Delivered Faulty Construction Materials and Denied Refund
I purchased tiles, cement, and various materials for a bathroom renovation from the Bauhaus Kepez (Antalya) branch. I also paid for delivery service through Bauhaus, as the items were heavy and delivered on pallets. Because of this, I couldn’t inspect each item individually during delivery. After the construction was completed, I was told that unused materials could be returned, so I took the entire leftover pallet back to the store.
However, I noticed that one bag of cement had a torn package that had been taped over, and it was clearly taped before it was delivered to me. Additionally, one box of tiles located at the bottom of the pallet was cracked. When I tried to return both items, the store staff refused, claiming that damaged products cannot be accepted for return. But these products were delivered to me in damaged and taped condition from the start.
I have the invoice for these materials, which total around ₺10,000. I find it unacceptable that a major company like Bauhaus would sell damaged goods to customers and refuse to take responsibility by denying returns. I request that my return be accepted and that I receive a full refund for the defective products.
