I purchased a Pierre Cardin highchair from the Baby Mall store in Eskişehir. We picked up the product directly from the store, but when we opened the box at home, the chair was broken. We returned it to the store, and the chair was sent to us again by cargo. However, this time too, it arrived broken.
When we asked to exchange it for a different brand, the store demanded back a gift voucher that had been given to us during a previous purchase. When we requested a refund, they told us they could only refund the amount minus the voucher value. At first, they said the refund would be processed within 2 days, but when we called again later, we were told it would actually take 20 days. Despite repeatedly speaking with the manager and cashiers at the store, we never received a clear answer, nor were we given any official document confirming that the refund process had been initiated.
In total, I spent 4,000 TL, and I had used a 500 TL gift voucher from another purchase that required spending over 1,500 TL. However, for this highchair, I did not use any voucher, yet during the exchange/refund process, they insisted on taking it back.
The product was never used—it was broken right out of the box—and I have now been waiting 20 days for a solution.
I demand a full refund for the broken product, and I want a clear explanation and resolution regarding the confusing issue with the gift voucher.
