I'm Being Charged $2,137 for a Known Chronic Audi A5 AC Leak

1

I've been experiencing an air conditioning leak issue in my 2018 Audi A5, which I purchased brand new. The leak was identified as being inside the dashboard, specifically the front bulkhead area. I took my vehicle to the authorized service center in Attarlar, Konya, in June 2025, and following an inspection there, I learned that this fault was not caused by user error.
Both from the service center and from my own research, I found that this problem is known to be a chronic issue with this model. Despite this, the authorized service center requested a fee of around $2,137 from me for the repair. Having such a high cost demanded for a fault that is chronic and not user-caused both surprised me and put me in a difficult position.
For this reason, I am requesting that this fault, which is known to be chronic and not caused by user error, be resolved as part of a customer satisfaction initiative — ideally free of charge or at a reasonable cost — without a high fee being charged to me.
