I purchased my Audi A3 brand-new in 2016 and have had all maintenance performed at Audi Acarsan’s authorized service center in Gaziantep. In August 2023, I replaced the car’s original battery at the same service center. However, in June 2024, just three days after another routine service, my vehicle displayed an “Insufficient Battery Charge” error. I reported it, and the service center kept my car for two days, claiming they recharged the battery. Within five hours of retrieving it, the same error reappeared.
When I returned, they insisted the battery was damaged due to “user error” and refused to replace it under warranty. Their reasoning? They accused me of leaving the lights on—completely absurd, as Audi vehicles shut off the electrical system automatically once the key is removed. Even the service engineer seemed unconvinced by his own claim.
This battery was just 10 months old with a 2-year warranty, yet the service center refused replacement. Out of desperation, I paid ₺6,000 to install a new Varta start-stop battery at a local shop to make my car sellable. I chose the authorized service for reliability, only to experience a total letdown. Audi’s failure to stand by its warranty, especially at Acarsan Gaziantep, has severely damaged my trust. I now regret purchasing an Audi and am selling my vehicle. I demand a full refund for the battery replacement cost.
