On February 8, 2023, I purchased an iPhone 14 Pro from the Media Markt store. I've been using the device without incident since June 16, 2023. A glass of water was accidentally spilled on my device that day. I wiped it away and went about my business. Later in the day, however, I noticed fogging on the front camera and issues with Face ID functionality. Today, I had another issue with my device: the screen had completely stopped working. Because my device is insured, I took it to the service center for repair. However, the device was advertised as water-resistant when I purchased it. I refuse to believe that such a minor contact with water caused this damage and that Apple dismisses it as liquid damage that is not covered by warranty. I want a replacement for my broken device. When discussing the problem with Apple support, they attempted to hide it by claiming that liquid damage is not covered. I request that this matter be resolved as soon as possible.
