Apple iPhone 14 Overheated, Shut Down and Not Powered Back On
Got iPhone 14 from Bulgaria in December 2022. Unfortunately, three weeks before the expiration of the international warranty, the phone overheated, shut down, and has not powered on since. quickly, I took the device to the Gürgencler service center in Viaport, where they diagnosed it with a mainboard issue. However, when I mentioned that the mainboard was not repairable, they informed me that due to it being purchased internationally, they couldn't proceed with a replacement. Instead, they directed me to service centers in Sofia, assuring me that a new device would be provided promptly. Despite the inconvenience, I traveled to Sofia at my own expense, only to return empty-handed. Upon my return, I came to the Troy service center on Bağdat Avenue with all the necessary documentation. Troy informed me that the replacement could indeed be carried out locally and criticized Gürgencler for misleading information. despite numerous phone calls and emails with Apple Support, I have yet to receive a resolution. The Troy service center highlighted an issue with the warranty document, stating that manually written details, including the serial number, render the device ineligible for replacement. My dissatisfaction stems from contradictory information received from different Apple Support representatives. Initially, I was told that manual entries were acceptable, only to be later informed otherwise. When I requested a legal example of the country-specific regulation they referred to, I was met with conflicting responses. This situation has left me deeply regretting my international purchase. I am torn between the wasted trip to Sofia, the money spent, and the countless hours spent on the phone with Apple Support. I expected more from Apple and find it disheartening that the local service centers seem to be prolonging the resolution process. I intend to escalate this matter to Apple's headquarters at the earliest opportunity. exhausted and sincerely disappointed in the handling of my case.
