Apple Global Warranty is Not Real
I need to share my frustrating experience with Apple. I purchased an iPhone 14 Pro Max from Georgia, and it malfunctioned just two months after I bought it. I sent it to the Trabzon KVK service center. Prior to purchasing the phone, I researched and found out that the model number A2894 has a global warranty. However, once I sent the phone to Trabzon KVK, my ordeal began. KVK forwarded the phone to Apple headquarters. I encountered numerous issues during this process. To start with, I faced difficulties in obtaining clear information through the Apple support application and phone calls. In each interaction, I received conflicting information. No one bothered to keep me updated on the phone's status. It wasn't until I checked their website this morning that I discovered it said "service request cancelled." I spoke to around 10 different individuals in an attempt to understand the situation. In the first conversation, it was mentioned that there might be an issue with the IMEI, but I was reassured that the phone was under warranty, and the process would take just two days. However, I didn't feel comfortable with this response, so I called KVK, and they were unaware of the situation. I contacted Apple support again, and they informed me that it was not under warranty. After speaking with another representative, they confirmed that A2894 models were indeed under warranty with a global warranty. The discussions continued in this manner for an extended period, and eventually, they assured me that the process was ongoing and that I should relax. Following this assurance, I noticed a message on the KVK website stating that the device was "out of warranty" and would be returned to the customer. As I was on the verge of a breakdown, my last conversation with Apple Support revealed that there was no name on the invoice, and they requested an invoice with a name on it. However, the invoice already contained a name, albeit written in the Georgian language. Even Google Translate could translate it into names. To cut a long story short, it has been 13 days since I submitted the phone, and I spent my entire day waiting for a response. In the end, I received excuses instead of warranty coverage. If it wasn't under warranty, why did I wait for 13 days? Despite having all my documents in order, including the IMEI registration document, they refused to carry out the repairs because the name was written in Georgian.
