Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max Face ID Not Working

I was extremely disappointed to find out that my brand new Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max had a malfunctioning Face ID feature. I had only been using it for two weeks, and already it wasn't working properly! I tried resetting the phone to factory settings, but this didn't help and so I contacted Apple about the issue. The representative told me that my phone would be sent for warranty repair, however, I declined as I did not want to have my brand-new phone fixed and potentially lose any of its features or performance. After all, it was still within the legally mandated replacement period, so I asked if they could just provide me with a brand-new device instead. The customer service rep seemed hesitant at first, but after explaining my reasons for wanting a replacement he agreed to go ahead with the process. Yet, I haven't been able to procure a replacement.
