iPhone 12 Pro Max Stopped Working After iOS 18 Update—Repair Cost Too High

While updating my iPhone 12 Pro Max to iOS 18, the device suddenly shut down and wouldn’t turn back on. I initially visited Troy Authorized Service, where they attempted repairs but were unsuccessful and refunded my service fee, advising me to discard the phone as it was beyond repair.
As a last resort, I went to Zorlu Apple. They explained that even if the issue could be resolved via software, the device's lock button was faulty, preventing full functionality. They offered a refurbished device by swapping my screen into another casing but quoted a service fee of ₺33,999.
The problem is clear—if I hadn’t updated, my phone would have worked perfectly. I’ve also witnessed others facing similar issues after the iOS 18 update and visiting Troy for help. Apple has failed to provide a reasonable solution. Given the premium price of the product, I expect better customer support and a fair resolution. I am waiting for a prompt and equitable response to fix this issue.
