Apple Denied My Refund After an Unauthorized App Store Charge
On April 19, 2026, an unauthorized purchase of approximately $25 was made through the Apple Store without my knowledge or consent, and the charge was billed directly to my Türk Telekom mobile phone account. I did not purchase any app or product and was the victim of fraud. What makes this situation even more concerning is that I do not own any Apple device, yet this charge was still successfully processed through my mobile carrier account.
As soon as I discovered the unauthorized transaction, I called the very next day and requested that all related transactions be canceled. I clearly explained that the purchase had been made without my authorization and that I had been the victim of fraud. Despite Apple opening two separate cases, both of my refund requests were denied on the grounds that they did not meet the eligibility requirements, and I was never given a clear or satisfactory explanation for the decision.
I am extremely disappointed that a global company like Apple has handled such a clear case of consumer harm with so little care and attention. I am requesting a full refund of the approximately $25 that was charged without my authorization, as well as the implementation of all necessary security and verification measures to ensure that similar unauthorized charges can never be billed to my mobile account again.
