Hint App Unauthorized $29.99 Apple Pay Charges For 8 Months

Hint App Unauthorized $29.99 Apple Pay Charges For 8 Months

I use an iPhone 12, and on 10 October 2026 I noticed that an app called “Hint” has been charging my Apple Pay account $29.99 on a recurring basis. When I reviewed my transaction history, I saw that these payments have been taken for approximately the last eight months. I have never heard of this app before seeing these charges, I have never knowingly downloaded or used it, and I have never given my consent for a $29.99 subscription or payment to Hint. For me, these are purely unauthorized and fraudulent transactions carried out through my Apple Pay. I tried to visit Hint’s website to understand what these charges were for and to find some contact information, but I could only find FAQ pages and a link about cancelling a subscription, with no clear support or explanation about these payments. This situation has seriously damaged my trust, so I have stopped using Apple Pay completely and will not use it again until this issue is fully resolved. I have several screenshots showing the repeated $29.99 charges to Hint over this period, including at least one charge that was initially declined due to insufficient funds and then later successfully taken anyway. I request a full refund of all $29.99 payments made to Hint over the last eight months, the permanent cancellation of any existing Hint subscription or payment authorization linked to my Apple account, and a detailed investigation into these unauthorized charges as fraudulent transactions. I also request written confirmation of the results of this investigation and the actions taken on my account.
