Angi for Pros Charged Without Authorization After Sales Call and Dispute
On March 11, 2026, I spoke with an Angi Pro representative about possibly opening a Pro account. During the call, I was clearly told that I would have a few days to decide whether I wanted to open the account, and that nothing would be charged until I confirmed. Based on this, I did not give any verbal authorization to charge my card, nor did I e‑sign or sign any document. Despite this, about 35 minutes after the call, Angi charged my card $315 without my permission, which put my bank account into the negative. At no point did I approve this charge by phone, text, or any signed agreement. I contacted both Angi customer support and my bank to dispute this unauthorized charge. Angi is claiming that I e‑signed, which is not true. I never completed any e‑signature process, never agreed to be charged, and never confirmed opening the account. I also communicated with Angi via text from the phone number 530‑303‑6***, where I clearly stated that I had not authorized the payment. I request that Angi immediately issues a full refund of the $315, closes this account, deletes my personal information from the system, and provides a clear apology for charging my card without my consent.
