Amazon Hacked Account Still Not Secured After a Month of Complaints
On April 18, 2026 my Amazon account in the United States was hacked. Since then, I have been trying unsuccessfully to resolve this through Amazon Customer Service. During the hacking, the email address and phone number on my account were changed, my password was changed, and at least one fraudulent order was placed, which Amazon later canceled. However, my account remains compromised and I am still locked out and unable to manage it, including my payment details. Over the past month, I have called Amazon customer service around 12 times and I have sent emails to [email protected] as well as to CS-AMAZON.com. Each time I contact support, I am told that my case is being escalated and that I will receive an email within 24–48 hours to recover my account, but this email never arrives and no actual resolution is provided. The cycle simply repeats with each new representative, and I have not been given any case ID or reference number to track what is happening. At this point, I am paying for Prime but am blocked from using it, I cannot delete my payment information, and I cannot even close the account myself. I am extremely frustrated and concerned about the security of my personal and financial information, especially given how long this has been ongoing without any concrete action from Amazon. I am requesting that Amazon immediately secure and close this hacked account and permanently delete all associated payment information, and that my Amazon Prime membership and account be canceled without further delay, as I no longer have confidence in the handling of this issue.
