Amazon Failed to Refund $443 After Repeated Product Breakdowns

On January 26, 2024, I purchased a Kärcher SC3 Deluxe steam cleaner from Amazon Turkey under order number 407-9889771-5809917. The product broke down within a few months and was sent to an authorized service center. The unit remained at the service center for approximately three months, and during this entire period, I was not given any clear or accurate information.

After the product was returned to me, it broke down again within just one month. Throughout this process, I spent months contacting Amazon customer service, and each time I called, I was given different and unfulfilled information. I was repeatedly told things like “It will be resolved within two days” or “The refund will be processed within nine days,” but none of these promises were kept, and no process was completed correctly or on time.

Since December 12, I have been trying to obtain a refund for the product, which cost $443. Amazon claims that the bank rejected the refund, but when I contacted my bank, they explicitly stated that no refund request had been received from Amazon. Despite repeatedly requesting written proof, Amazon has told me that they cannot provide any email or written documentation regarding the refund.

It is unacceptable for a company of this size to act in such an irresponsible, unprofessional manner that leaves the customer harmed. I have been completely disadvantaged in both the product return and the refund process. I am requesting that the $443 payment be fully and promptly refunded to my account through a properly initiated transaction with my bank, and that the entire process and the issues I experienced be explained to me in writing.

Due to this experience, I would also like to clearly state that I will be canceling my Prime membership and all associated family memberships.
