Amazon Customer Service Is Nonexistent

I am writing to report how terrible and practically non‑existent Amazon’s customer service has become and to state clearly that it urgently needs improvement. I am using Amazon from the United States and recently needed to make a simple inquiry, but there was no clear way to reach a live person by phone or chat, and the system kept forcing me through useless, irrelevant options instead of connecting me with support. In the past, I was occasionally able to find an option that matched my issue and got answers that were acceptable. This time, however, none of the options addressed what I needed, and the menus were not user‑friendly or helpful. Even when I click on “Contact Us,” I am forced to go through step after step and option after option just to try to reach a chat, instead of being able to contact support directly. The long list of rigid, useless options gives the strong impression that Amazon does not want to deal with customers or let them reach a real person, which makes the customer service feel effectively non‑existent. On top of this, the only response I did manage to see came across as rude and condescending instead of helpful. This experience has turned what should have been a quick question into a very frustrating situation and has convinced me that Amazon’s customer service, as it works now, is not meeting even basic expectations. I request that Amazon provide a clearly accessible and straightforward way to reach a live customer service representative by phone or chat, directly from the “Contact Us” section, without forcing customers through endless, unhelpful menus, and that they significantly improve both the availability and the attitude of customer service so that it is truly responsive, respectful, and effective.
