Amazon Customer Service Has Not Been Helpful - I Need Help From USA
I live in Collegeville, Pennsylvania and have been an Amazon customer for a long time. I am writing because I have been unable to get proper help from Amazon customer service, and I am extremely frustrated and dissatisfied. Around June 15, an order went bad and my Amazon account appears to have been hacked. Two items were ordered through my Amazon account that I did not place. One of these items still appears as ordered and active, and I have been trying to return or cancel it without success. Because of this situation, I had to cancel my American Express card and get a new one, even though I did not use that card for the order I am still trying to resolve. On top of that, my current main Amazon account is still tied to my late wife's account. I have been trying since June to get everything changed into my own name. Amazon keeps sending authorizations to her phone, even though she has passed away, and I cannot complete security steps that rely on her device. I have explained this repeatedly and still have not been given a working solution. When I call Amazon customer service from the United States, I keep getting routed to overseas call centers, mostly in Southeast Asia, India, and even Egypt. Today, both the representatives in India and Egypt hung up on me when they said they were transferring me to someone in the United States. I have been trying for months to take care of my account and cannot reach a U.S.-based representative who will stay on the line and truly help me. Because of all of this, I am very dissatisfied and extremely frustrated. I am asking for a U.S.-based Amazon representative to call me directly to help me: 1) separate my account from my deceased wife’s account and place everything fully in my name, and 2) investigate and fix the hacked orders, including canceling or resolving the item that still appears as ordered even though I did not place that order. If these issues are not resolved as soon as possible, I am seriously considering canceling my Amazon account. I request that Amazon urgently review my account, contact me by a U.S.-based representative, and provide a clear and permanent resolution to both the account ownership problem and the fraudulent orders.
